The ILX232N (MAX232 compatible) is a dual RS-232 line driver and receiver IC from IK-SEMI, designed to convert TTL/CMOS logic levels to RS-232 voltage levels and vice versa. It integrates a charge-pump voltage converter, allowing it to generate the required ±10 V signals using only a single +5 V supply and a few external capacitors.

This makes the ILX232N ideal for serial communication interfaces in embedded systems, industrial equipment, and legacy PC communication ports.
