The EL3021 is Everlight’s version of the popular MOC3021 optotriac driver IC, designed to provide safe and reliable AC load control. It uses an infrared LED input optically coupled to a triac output, ensuring strong electrical isolation between low-voltage control circuits and high-voltage AC lines.

Since it is a random-phase trigger optocoupler, the EL3021 is ideal for phase-control applications such as light dimmers, motor speed controllers, and solid-state relays where triggering must occur at any point in the AC cycle.
